Nau Mai Haere Mai, Tauranga City Libraries’ is honoured to present an evening with Robert McGowan, QSM. Robert, an author, conservationist, practitioner and educator, has contributed to the revival and restoration of Rongoā Māori (traditional Māori healing) in Aotearoa. With his work guided by the whakatauki ‘Ka ora te whenua, ka ora te tāngata - When the land is well, the people will be well’, Robert will speak of his journey to knowledge and share experiences and steps that we can all take to be part of the journey to wellness of the whenua and the people. Robert will speak on rongoā, conservation, plant identification, his relationship with maramataka and with Matariki. Join us for this special evening.
